We hope everyone had fun at the annual spooktacular Halloween Bash!Thank you to everyone who attended/volunteered/donated to make this a great family event. Even with all the volunteering and donations, the PTO spends about $200 to make this event possible!

And speaking of donations- the PTO just wrote checks totaling over $1000 as gifts to the Pelham Elementary teachers and support staff. We would not be able to do this or throw any of the other fun events throughout the year without the support of our Pelham parents and community!

Thank you!

Yankee Candle!

Dear Pelham Families,
You will be receiving a packet from your children this week from Yankee Candle. Selling Yankee Candle items (it's not just candles) has been a great way to support the Pelham School PTO. Items ordered through this event will arrive in time for the December holidays.
Although you may choose to not participate in this fundraising event, please remember, the PTO's mission is to help parents and the community support the mission of the school; to encourage participation in the life of the school; to create a sense of community among parents, children, teachers, and the town; and to create happy memories for our children.
The Pelham Elementary School PTO is an involved group of parents who work collectively to support the school. Popular PTO events include the Back to School picnic, Halloween Bash, the book fair, staff appreciation day, and the Spring Fair. Proceeds from PTO events help the school purchase needed equipment, offset the cost of field trips, and fund cultural enrichment events.

Did you know that you can sell Yankee Candle online?  Just go to www.yankeecandlefundraising.com and register your child using the school's Group Number: 990065962

Jones Library Family-Friendly Film

Murder at the Movies

The Jones Library kicks off summer vacation with a family-friendly film on Tuesday, June 30 at 5:30 PM in the Woodbury Room. Cary Grant and Grace Kelly star in a Alfred Hitchcock classic, a splashy and fast-paced thriller set on the French Riviera that opens with one of the best car chases in movie history.

Local author and film blogger Lisa Lieberman will introduce the program. Her new Hitchcock-inspired mystery, All The Wrong Places, features scenes in the Carlton Hotel in Cannes, where Kelly’s character is staying with her mother when she falls for the cat-burglar played by Grant. “Grace Kelly in her last Hitchcock film before she became a princess. Cary Grant in a tuxedo. What’s not to like?” says Lieberman.

Copies of All the Wrong Places will be available for sale at the end of the film. All proceeds will be donated to the Jones Library. This event launches a recurring series of mystery films, Murder at the Movies, at the Jones Library.

For more information, please contact Janet Ryan at 413/259-3223 or visit the Jones Library website at www.joneslibrary.org.
