Send in Your Box Tops!

Please keep turning in your Box Tops!   Each Box Top is worth $.10 and it adds up.  Since September, we have collected over $90 in Box Tops.  Please remind your relatives and neighbors to save Box Tops for the Pelham School, too.  Box Tops can be turned in anytime in the classroom or jar outside the office.

Fall Fundraisers!

Dear Pelham Families,
Pelham PTO will be conducting a Yankee Candle Catalogue Gift sale from October 17th-November 3rd   and an Original Art student work sale from November 14th-November 21st.  The money collected by the PTO will be used for many projects and activities that occur at the school.  Things such as the school laminator, copy paper, classroom fans, MCAS snacks, Pelham Spirit Wear for new students, curtains for the stage and welcome gift bags for new students are just some examples of items purchased by the PTO for the Pelham School Community.
Your family’s effort to raise funds for the Pelham PTO is greatly appreciated but not mandatory.  If you would rather not participate with these events but would like to support the PTO, a financial donation would be truly appreciated.

Thanks,

Pelham PTO

Spring Fair Thank You!

The PTO thanks you!

The Spring Fair was a huge success!  A great crowd showed up to play!  It takes many hands for an event like this to happen, and many, many people help!  Thanks to all who donated items for the raffle baskets, donated cakes, cupcakes, and/or food for the concession stand, helped set up, helped clean up, ran game stations (Amie Weddleton, Erin Lawler, Lisa Candito, Patrick Zephyr, Dave Hawkins, Sarah Rogowski, Cara Rigali, Jim Hanson, Katheryn Mahoney), painted young happy faces, spent money and more!  All of our efforts paid off!  The PTO raised about $2000 in one day!

Many thanks to businesses who donated products:

Roadhouse Café
Loose Goose Café
Henion Bakery
Atkins Farms
Bruegger’s Bagels
Target
Trader Joe’s
Big Y
Stop & Shop

Also, thanks to Nicole Bland for bringing the petting zoo, Matt Wolaver, Lee Halasz, Steve Lawler and Mike Hayes for inventing, setting up, and cleaning up the wicked fun obstacle course, Mike Hayes, Chris Gould and Lisa Zephyr for making the cake walk so much fun, Jill Isabelle for loaning us the grill to save money, Michael Candito and Jim Hanson for grilling, Tara Luce, Amber French, and Emily Gonzales for selling food and running games, Leanne Hunt for selling raffle tickets, Sarah Frenette, Adam Frenette and Sue Hawkins for selling game tickets, Lennie Ware and Charlie Thompson for giving out prizes, and the list goes on.  The clean up crew rocked!  Thanks Dave and Sue Hawkins, Sarah Rogowski, Cara Rigali, Jen Jackowitz, Lisa Candito, Lennie Ware and Kim Cllicoatte for staying late and getting the job done.

Thanks to Lisa Desjarlais, Mr. Graiff, Mr. Schmith, and Lennie Ware for logistical support!  Former students Hattie Carolan, Merrick Stromgren, Bridgette Hasbrouck and others are heroes for coming back to spontaneously run games!  Thanks to the UMass volunteers, we couldn’t have done it without them!

If anyone was inadvertently left off this list, please accept our apologies, and THANK YOU!

Calendar Raffle Month!

April Is Calendar Raffle Month at Pelham School

The Pelham PTO is running a calendar raffle during the month of April so we are asking families to help us sell tickets  to friends, family and co-workers during the month of March.  Green raffle calendars  and directions have been sent home with your child today so please check their backpack.

Here’s how the Calendar Raffle works:

·  Every day during the month of April there will be a drawing for a different prize donated by a local artist or business.
·  Prizes valued at $20 or more include restaurant gift certificates, a local farm share, handmade crafts, and theater tickets, to name just a few.
·  The Calendars, which are designed to show the prize being offered each day, will be sold for $5 each and will afford the purchaser 30 chances to win over the course of the month.
·  Winners will be contacted by phone and email on the day of each drawing; winners must come to Pelham School to pick-up their prize.
·  We hope to sell at least 500 tickets. All income will be used by the PTO to support Pelham School.

Here’s what you need to do:

  • Sell at least 10 Calendar Raffle tickets to family, friends and co-workers. The Calendars cost $5 each and, as noted above, afford the purchaser 30 chances to win a bunch of fabulous prizes donated by local businesses and artists.
  • Leave the purchaser with the Calendar and return the completed Raffle tickets to your child’s classroom teacher or in the main office at Pelham School (which can be torn off from the bottom of the Calendar -- be sure to note your name in the seller line) and payments (cash or checks made payable to Pelham PTO by Friday, March 28th
  • If you sell all 10 Calendars, please feel free to make more copies or stop in the office nor Pelham Library to pick-up more!

Please contact Lisa Candito – lmcandito@gmail.com with any questions or concerns.

Thank you in advance for making this raffle such a success.
