April Calendar Raffle

Dear Pelham Families,

The Pelham PTO is currently looking for donations of goods or services to add to our April Calendar Raffle.  Every day during the month of April there will be a drawing for a different prize donated by local businesses or artists.  Last year the calendar raffle raised over $3,500 for the Pelham School Community-nearly half of our yearly funds are from this fundraiser! With that in mind, the Pelham PTO urges you to donate to our raffle and help us reach our goal of raising $4,000 for Pelham School during the 2016-2017 school year.

Here are some donation ideas:
 - Services from your business (massage, landscaping, housecleaning, etc.)
- Tickets to local events
- Gift certificates to local restaurants, stores or businesses
- Gift certificate to fitness class
- Local jewelry
- Local artwork

All donors will be acknowledged in our fundraising materials, including printed and electronic communications, and on our website. Please contact the Pelham PTO (pelham.ma.pto@gamil.com) if you or anyone that you know would be willing to donate to the April Calendar Raffle.  The PTO would like to collect all items by Wednesday, March 1st

All donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Tax ID# 04-3316727

Thanks for supporting the Pelham PTO!

Vote No on Question #2

This year, charter schools will drain over $450 million from district public school budgets including more than 1.4 million from the Amherst-Pelham schools.  Charters schools tend to educate fewer English language learners and special needs students, and aren’t overseen by elected school boards. That’s why the NAACP, over 180 School Committees (including ours in Pelham), Boston Mayor Marty Walsh, Senator Elizabeth Warren, and Attorney General Maura Healey are recommending that people vote NO on question 2. Before we expand charter schools, we need to ensure that our district public schools, which serve ALL students, are fully funded.
